Who We Are

Prior to his role as Executive Director of CavFutures, Lo Davis served 12 years as Associate Director for the Virginia Athletics Foundation. During his time at VAF, Lo raised millions of dollars in support of Virginia Athletics. He supported several individual programs, including baseball, football, lacrosse, track and field, and women's basketball. He also served on several committees within the Advancement Community at UVA, including creating and acting as co-chair for the now annual Advancement Community Excellence Awards.

Before his return to Charlottesville, Lo worked for nine years as Vice President of Catch 84 Inc., the marketing arm for former UVA football standout and Detroit Lions All-Pro Wide Receiver Herman Moore, as well as other professional athletes in Detroit. In this role, he served as business manager and handled appearances, marketing events, and contract negotiations.

Lo graduated from UVA in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric and Communications. While a student at the University, he was a member of the baseball team for two years and participated in JV basketball. His early professional career focused primarily on sales, marketing, and client services. He was owner and operator of Five Star Industrial and Business Supply in Charlottesville from 2003 to 2009.

Lo has been married to his wife Sandra for 17 years and has two children, Eric and Nia. A sports enthusiast, Lo spends his time on the sports fields with his children and is an avid golfer.

Caroline Darney joined CavFutures after working over nine years in sports media and events. She worked at Inside Lacrosse, SB Nation, and For The Win | USA Today before taking on her role at CavFutures. Throughout her years on the media side of the industry, Caroline covered events including the 2014 and 2018 Men's Basketball ACC Championships, the 2019 Men's Basketball National Championship, the 2019 Men's Lacrosse National Championship, the 2022 College World Series, and many more pivotal moments in Virginia athletics.

A graduate of the University of Virginia, Caroline joined the U.S. Navy and spent eight years on active duty as a Naval Flight Officer. She accrued over 1,300 combat hours as an aviator and completed her commitment as a Foreign Liaison Officer stationed at the Pentagon. Following her time in the Navy, Caroline earned her master's degree in Sports Industry Management from Georgetown University and returned to UVA for an Executive M.B.A. from Darden in 2022.

When not working or watching sports, Caroline spends her time with her two dogs, Bennett and Maverick, and writing about pop culture and movies.

As CavFutures' Chief Operating Officer, Mark Cooke brings more than 30 years of experience in executive sales and operations leadership in the consumer goods industry. He has a successful career history driving best-in-class execution, customer service, client relations and retention, revenue generation, operational efficiency, and talent management.

During his 30-year career with PepsiCo in progressive regional director roles, Mark led strategic sales and operations across multiple U.S. regions. With oversight of facilities employing more than 500 associates, he owned sales execution, revenue and market share growth, P&L management, process and policy implementation, and cross-functional team leadership. Before joining CavFutures, Mark served as Senior National Sales Director with Black Rifle Coffee Company, leading the nationwide launch of the brand in grocery chain and large-format accounts across the U.S.

Mark grew up in Martinsville, Virginia, and graduated from Martinsville High School in 1986. As a top-ranked high school basketball player, he was recruited by UVA Athletics. Mark was a two-sport athlete, playing both basketball and football at Virginia before graduating in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Mark and his wife Shonny met as undergraduates at UVA. They have been married for 33 years and have two children, Kai and Maya. In his spare time, Mark enjoys small construction projects and any chance he gets to beat Lo Davis on the golf course. His favorite pastime is relaxing at home with his wife and kids when they visit their home in Nelson County.

Emma Chapman joined CavFutures in 2023 after finishing her master's degree in finance at the McIntire School of Business. She deferred her previous plans to return to the Boston area after graduating as a double-Hoo when she became inspired by the hands-on nature of CavFutures' startup environment.

Emma started her college career at Lehigh University before transferring to the University of Virginia where she pursued both history and economics. During her time as an undergraduate at UVA, she fell in love with Virginia's sports teams, and got to experience both the Men's Basketball National Championship and the football victory over Virginia Tech in 2019. Her fourth year was cut short by the pandemic, but she returned to Virginia to complete her Master's in Finance.

Emma's role has changed since starting with CavFutures as the NIL landscape has evolved, but she has been at the organizational center of the company, implementing systems which allowed operations to scale more than tenfold. As NIL and Revenue Sharing at a university level have shifted and developed, she has adapted those systems to keep up with the ever-changing athletics landscape. Now, her role is mainly internal-facing, but her passion for setting Virginia athletes up for success remains at the center. She spends her free time with friends and family, enjoying UVA games, going to the farmer's market, traveling, and listening to R&B.

Charlotte has been with CavFutures for over three years, stepping into the Director of Media and Marketing role at the beginning of 2026. Her journey began as a CavFutures intern, a pivotal experience that allowed her to observe the NIL landscape from pre- to post-House settlement. She learned from her team, and transitioned her role to lead the new interns. Today, Charlotte oversees the marketing efforts for both CavFutures Marketing Inc. and the CavFutures Foundation.

A graduate of the University of Virginia, Charlotte earned her B.A. in Media Studies and Entrepreneurship, bringing a fresh and strategic perspective to the ever-changing social media landscape. Her passion for storytelling and creating authentic connections was cultivated through coursework in sports journalism, reporting, and digital media.

Outside of work, Charlotte enjoys cooking and baking for friends and family, practicing yoga, and playing Equestrian Polo in Charlottesville.
